my friend just told me she's applying for the UWC scholarship! i was so surprised, coz its overseas studies when u are only 16/17!
this morn, i reached sch at abt 8am though supposed to report at 11.15am for chem prac coz wanted to study in sch. then abt 8.45am, i saw someone holding the chem prac briefing notes and was totally shocked! i forgot to bring mine (with lots of notes written on it)! argh!!! prelim chem prac and smart me forgot to bring the notes! but i didnt really show my true feelings coz in the lib and got other not close ppl around... the last time i looked at it was on monday (so already forgot what i wrote) when ms lee was going thru it in class and i took down quite a bit of notes. then i borrowed from mich her copy but i kept thinking abt it for the nxt half hour... haizzz... came up with some not-very-good ideas to retrieve it...
then weilin came and after awhile, i didnt feel like studying so went to play the IQ games at the corner. also played chi chess with weilin. she won. i think she quite gd but she said not.
shan't talk abt the prac itself.
yeah! time to go on the happy happy thing! half of 4/10 went to jurong point today! (jurong point rocks! its so comprehensive! (did i use the appropriate word?) so many things around! esp great place to buy presents expect for the crowd due to ppl getting teachers' day gifts which caused me to get crowdzphobia, fear of crowded shops)
yiling, yiyun, xiuxia, ruyan, sheena, yuhshin, liming, kim, amanda, huilin, shiling, fervin, lisa, mich and me took bus there together! actually lisa, mich and me had originally yue1 hao3 to buy teachers' day gifts somewhere then when waiting for bus, the rest of the gang came so decided to go with them :) so shuang3! after they bought their gifts, they were even going to amanda's house to make cookies, sushi and stuff for teachers' day class party for tml!!! so fun, so many ppl! (yeah! our class so united :) despite prelims, 4/10 rocks) i wanted to go too but need to buy presents for juniors, but never mind since there are already so many ppl, surely they can handle everything :) a few of them were are even staying overnight at amanda's. so cool!
when we were shopping, we met zhixiu, xuechen and weilin there. that adds up to exactly half of the class!
We shopped from 3.30pm to abt 5+pm after eating kfc for lunch. then mich and lisa left while i continued shopping for my presents to the juniors till 6+pm coz only found 3 while shopping for the teachers' day gifts. bought myself a stress relief spongy die, there's also a very cute tomato but quality not good. i was so exhausted coz walked around from shop to shop and back and forth shops and had to squeezed thru crowded shops with the danger of knocking down fragile stuff that are extremely common in gift shops for 3 hours!
then when i finally finished choosing the last 2 presents and were already at the cashier counter, i found that i didn't have enough cash (lack of 1+bucks)... argh... that's the 2nd time in the past month and also the 2nd time in the past 16 years which seems to be telling me that its now time to get an atm card coz that shop only had nets but not cashcard... the cashier was rather kind and asked if i lived nearby then i can get the item first and pay back tml but of course not since i live so far away so had no choice but to leave in embarrassment. then i called my mom to meet me at lousy sun plaza to buy the rest of the presents since i'm broke...
on the way home i decided not to be so wu2 qing2 to the rest of the teachers whom i had intended not to give anything so at sun plaza, so i shopped till 8pm. wow! i think i had never shopped this much in my life! from jurong pt back to sun plaza; from 3.30 to 8pm. so now i am never this broke in my life. spent more than 40bucks on all the presents (excluding the 10 over bucks mom paid for me at sun plaza). just borrowed 20bucks from mom with much pleading and also got 10bucks extra after explaining that i had been paying alot of funds and stuff. haiz... this mth i haven't even saved a single cent though i had saved hundreds of bucks from mar to june. so ironic.
yeah! after much arguing, i don't have to returned mom the 20 bucks :) muz try to save like b4 now.
aiyo, its already so late. better go wrap the presentsss now.

25Dec11: "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" w KY (ultimate action packed! super tense almost throughout the movie, and interesting Tom Cruise made it such that not everything happened smoothly - he would jump and misland and get all sorts of injuries..it's really the courage to jump without hesitation even though you are not sure you'll be alive after that. KY loved d movie and said she would watch it again!)
